About

who the hell am i?

that’s a good question.

I have been riding on and off for 20 years (yeah, I’m not getting any younger). My longest trip was a recent coast to coast and back, clocking in at 8000.1 miles. My current bike is a 2019 Indian Scout Bobber. In the past I have owned a vintage Honda CB400, Buell Blast, and HD Sportster. Each bike was special in its own way and has grown with me as a rider and a warrior. Although I do miss my Buell desperately.

I like both long distance and daily riding. Getting on a bike and leaving the daily grind behind is so therapeutic. Learning about this world by experiencing it is the best teacher. On a motorcycle you are in the weather, surrounded by nature, feeling the wind of your speed on your skin, smelling the beauty of blooms, and hearing all the waves breaking, tires squealing, birds chirping, and fellow riders freaking out. Full immersion. The twist of the wrist that revs your engine and your heart, there’s nothing like it. It’s a sport to be experienced alone and in the company of others. You are responsible for your own safety and happiness behind those handlebars, and that is empowering and rapidly sobering. feeling the pull during tight corners, the adrenaline when shoot the gap between traffic, the energy knowing you are wholly in charge of your world is second to none. When you roll up on one of those squiggly road signs and your eyes light up, when the sound of your engine makes your heart float, when you close your eyes and the world is still moving; that’s when you know you’ve been infected.

I am a process development engineer (AKA nerd) and senior dog mom IRL.

I live in the greater Boston area, which does limit my riding season. But hey, there’s always fly-and-rides.
